Dr. Meeta Grewal embarked on her dentistry journey by receiving her dental degree at the College of Dentistry at NYU. Her commitment and hard work placed her in the top 10% of her class at prestigious institutions, laying a strong foundation for her professional achievements. Dr. Grewal is an associate program director at NYU Langone pediatric residency program, and brings over 15 years of experience in dentistry.
Holding licenses in New Jersey and New York, Dr. Grewal’s professional path is marked by her affiliations with several key dental organizations, such as the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Academy of Laser Dentistry, the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and the International Association of Dental Traumatology, illustrating her dedication to the advancement of dental practices and patient care.
Her status as a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) and a Diplomate with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry reflects her exceptional skills and knowledge in the field, placing her among the top professionals nationally. Dr. Grewal is trained in various pediatric and general dental procedures and patient management philosophies including general anesthesia and IV sedation.
Throughout her career in dentistry, Dr. Grewal has received honors in special patient care, orofacial pain and periodontology. She was also inducted into the OKU Honors Society and awarded the Arthur W. Puglisi Leadership Award in SIUH and the Neal Demby Leadership Award at NYU Langone.
In addition to her clinical and academic pursuits, Dr. Grewal is deeply committed to giving back to the community through extensive volunteer work. She has contributed her time and skills at the Jersey City Community Center, leading dental camps for oral cancer screenings and oral hygiene education. Her volunteer efforts extend to the NYU Langone’s Women’s Health Community Fair, New Jersey’s Special Olympics and the IDA’s pediatric outreach program.
One of Dr. Grewal’s most notable volunteer contributions was in Songea, Tanzania, where she participated in a two-week-long dental outreach camp organized by Miracle Corners of the World. There, she provided clinical dental care to over 100 patients, showcasing her commitment to improving dental health on a global scale.
